[Making Progress!] Chris Brown Is ‘As Good As He’s Ever Been’

Yesterday, he was spotted arriving to court with his girlfriend Karrueche for a probation hearing after Los Angeles Deputy District Attorney Mary Murray filed a motion to throw Breezy in jail after his alleged scuffle in D.C. last year. The district attorney believed the D.C. incident violated Chris’ probation and she also referenced his violent outburst with his mom that got him kicked out of his prior rehab stint as proof that he could be a violent danger to society.  She wrote in the filing:

He continues to pose an increasingly violent danger to society. Defendant Brown’s violent behavior continues to increase in severity and frequency.

Fortunately for Chris, Judge Brandlin denied the motion, citing Chris’ good behavior and progress he’s made since entering anger management rehab. His attorney Mark Geragos also argued that he should stay in treatment and the court should wait to see how the D.C. case is resolved before jumping the gun.

I say keep things on a short leash. Keep him where he is now. He is making great strides and all you have to do is look at him, and I’ve known him for five years. He’s as good as he’s ever been.

Chris is due back in court for a D.C. hearing on February 20th.

Until then, he remains in rehab where he has already completed 101 community service hours of his required 1,000 and he has passed four periodic drug tests so far.

Things are looking up!
