Dear Chris Brown: Your fans love you so please get it together and stay out of trouble. (Musings of an Entertainment Junkie)

I usually do not muse on Sundays but I had to send this in. When I received an alert this morning that Chris Brown has been arrested in DC. My instant reaction was “Oh Boy!, I hope this ends well”

If you are familiar with being a celebrity in the United States then you would know it’s hard work. When I say work, I do not mean the time you spend putting your actual work out there but the time you spend dealing with the forces that come with fame. Not only do you have to deal with paparazzi stalking you 24/7, but you also have to be careful of Fans looking to get that 15 minutes of fame through you, either by familiarizing themselves, or starting trouble.

It’s not longer news what led to Chris Brown being on probation so we wont get into that. What we will divulge a bit into however is what allegedly transpired in the early am today. Supposedly Chris Brown and his crew were leaving a Club (where Chris just hosted an event) and were accosted outside by people who wanted to sneak on the tour bus. Some brouhaha went down and Chris and his bodyguard got arrested for assault.  The alleged victim however has a different version, he claims Brown hurled homophobic slurs at him before physically assaulting him. I am sure there are reliable witnesses who will eventually share the true story of what really happened with the police.

While I do not condone assault of any form, I would like to state that it is wise for Chris to know and adhere to the fact that he needs to stay out of trouble. Whatever the case may be, always keep your hands to yourself, walk away and allow your security detail handle it. That’s why you have them.  He is a talented young man and probation or no probation he should simply get it together and never get involved in any form of trouble. Although it may be hard because you would still have people who will try to take advantage of you, just keep within the boundaries of the law.  If you are witness to a celebrity getting harassed or about to be taken advantage of, also try as much as you can to speak up and report it. The next few days, maybe months will determine the outcome of this event and trust me when I say, I am watching.
